Tuna Mess is a Paris based performer and artist from Belgium. She studied fashion at La Cambre in Brussels. After 10 years working for Balenciaga, Paco Rabanne and Mugler, she has decided to focus on performance.
Tuna’s practice celebrates flaws and accidents - challenging beauty and gender standards: in French, the word « Tuna » is an insult used to describe a woman considered ugly.
In 2020 and 2021, Crush Of Souls invited Tuna to take part in their videos. A truly organic and special collaboration came to fruition, leading them to perform together in New-York in 2022. They created a show where sounds and visuals coexist without hierarchy, giving new meanings to pre-existent work.
