Surf photographer and videographer Isaac Chadwick shares another teaser video for his highly anticipated upcoming feature surf film, Bask: Volume 1. Scheduled to be released October 2020, the film documents the surf scene and party culture of the students at the University of Otago.

For the 2nd teaser of your upcoming surf film, "Bask: Volume 1", what kind of scenes are you showing us?

in this teaser, I thought I'd show off a bit more of the scenery in and around Dunedin as well as a couple different waves. It's also got a bit more of the boys messing around and whatnot.

As far as editing, how do you decide which gets in the film and what gets cut?

Before I even started editing Bask I spend a solid couple weeks organizing all of my footage into different folders for each location and person. It's pretty mind-numbing stuff but it honestly makes the editing process so much easier and more purposeful instead of just randomly chucking clips together. Once that's done I always had the idea of splitting all of the surfing into 3 main parts surrounded by other filler sections to break it all up. as for what gets cut you've gotta be pretty brutal at times, which is both a blessing and a curse as we've got so much great surfing but me and the boys have always wanted to put out some proper quality surfing and not get sucked into using sub-par clips just for the sake of making the film longer.

Are you going to do anything special for the release on October 3rd?

Yeah for sure we are! It's all COVID dependant of course but at the moment we're hoping to have a big premiere night on the 3rd with the student board riders club and hopefully some local skate/surf brands as well. Ideally, we'll premier the film in the evening and then have some local DJs and bands crank out some tunes and party on into the night.
