L.A.’s most notorious party, The GeoMetro Party, extended their freedom-loving brand to the streets with launch of their limited invite series, GEO: FREE THE STREETS. Celebrating with a socially distanced gathering that featured a group of all female skateboarders, the FREE THE STREETS concept leans heavily on GEO's mission to elevate the best of LA street vibes: Skateboarding, Art, and Music.

The GeoMetro Party is back at it in a big way with the launch of GEO: FREE THE STREETS. Leave it to the most notorious party in LA to come up with a new socially-distanced way to bring people together amid this pandemic-infused world. A limited invite, FREE THE STREETS is a skateboard focused gathering that leans heavily on GEO's mission to elevate the best of LA street vibes: Skateboarding, Art, and Music.
Deciding to focus solely on female skateboarding was the foundational move of FREE THE STREETS according to founders Jarvis Anderson and Charlie Cosser. "We are most excited about what is going on in female skate and want to bring the connectedness and energy of GEO to add to this already vibrant scene." Among those invited were some of the most exciting and fun-loving female skaters in Los Angeles including Pauline Branom, Megan Andersen, Kaylee Renae, Brenda Tran, Karly Moreno, Sade Najafinia, Brooklinn Khoury and Elle Chapman who shared her experience “Best day ever. Thank you so much GEO. Needed this empowerment”.
While these rad skaters hit dope obstacles provided by OC Ramps, painter Booboo Stewart tagged up a canvas in the foreground creating a one of a kind piece inspired by the energy of the day. Booboo and GEO having been working together throughout the pandemic to raise money for the GRAMMY MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund helping out of work musicians and music workers. Music artist Lauren Sanderson came to perform an acapella version of her latest single "Internet”. Right at home among the skate session, Lauren was stoked to unveil a collaboration skate deck which was created with GEO which launched last Friday on Instagram Live. To cap things off, the ever so steezy futuristic rapper and visual artist Shamon Cassette delivered a spoken word manifesto to celebrate the launch.
It was all laughter and smiles at the first GEO: FREE THE STREETS which even included an impromptu dance off at one point (trust that GEO spirit!) Now artists, skaters and musicians are lining up to be included in the limited invite for the next one. FREE THE STREETS II will be held at the private skate facility of OC Ramps in Santa Ana in early August.
