“Finding ways to keep shooting in April and May left me with limited options. You find yourself trapped inside feeling claustrophobic or out in an empty world. I wanted capture both of these feelings. For this series I photographed my model, Donavon, on both medium format and 35mm loaded into a medium format TLR. We shot inside in a confined space, then double-exposed with images of the only places I could visit - my rooftop at night, or a beach at sunset from the empty boardwalk. The act of rewinding the film to do the second set of exposures means there's a lot of chance involved in your final product. CineStill has continued to ship darkroom chemicals so it's been a good time to take chances with alternative developing too.”
