Photographer Landon Hale partied in a sewer with Southern California punk bands The Sleeperz, Wacko, Spack, Project Sell Out, and Calm Kill. Landon documented night, capturing a beautiful chaos of musicians, skateboarders, and artists in their most raw state.
“Being one of the first shows since the lift of the pandemic,” says Landon, “there was a certain energy present that alleviated and rejoiced what was absent in the midst of COVID 19.
In midst of the chaos, Landon felt nothing but love from the subjects he photographed. “I felt welcomed and embraced from the second I climbed down into the sewer,” recalls Landon. “Even while I was in the pit, snapping photos inches from my subjects’ face, they all watched my back and made me feel like I was meant to be there.”
