FÀÁJÌ EXPRESS
Pastels, Serenity, and juxtaposition
“Let me take you back to the 1970s in nigeria where cars were not the main means of transport, where we had keke and okada going to every owanbe in the city. We had colour, we had style, and we had faster means of movement but most of all, we had swag.” - Photographer Ettim Essang
“FÀÁJI EXPRESS” draws inspiration from the vibrant and bustling Nigerian public transport system, reimagined through a lens of soft pastel aesthetics. Models dressed in pastel-colored traditional Nigerian attire—flowing agbadas and intricately styled geles. Pose against the iconic backdrops of okadas and keke napeps. The shoot juxtaposes the chaotic energy of urban transit hubs with the serenity of muted pastel tones, creating a striking balance of culture and movement.
